Come and experience the world of spices from Belize and Central America and even from around the world, at this unique place in southern Belize. Enjoy a tour full of excitement and beauty as you learn about the different spices, fruit trees and all its wildlife in this picturesque Garden.


With the addition of flowering arches, aquatic garden and fruit Orchards, the Spice farm have earned the reputation of one the most beautiful Botanical Gardens in Belize.

Spice Tour.


Our Spice Tour is the most popular of the 3 with a duration of an hour you will have a guided tour of the facilities either in tractor pulled trailer, golf cart or tricycle cart, or by walking. Areas you will visit are all the Spice Blocks which include all spices, Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Vanilla and Black pepper. You will get to touch, smell and taste some of the spices directly from the plant.


Located in the Mayan Village of Indian Creek 25 miles north of Punta Gorda Town lies the Akte’il Ha cacao Farm which is owned and operated by the Maquin family, who are descendants of the ancient Mayas who once cultivated cacao in the region. Upon arrival at Akte’il Ha farm the Maquin family will warmly welcome you to see their farm. 


Where they will take you on a 45 minutes tour of their organic cacao farm, here you will see firsthand how the cacao is grown. You will also learn the historical value of cacao and chocolate uses from the ancient times by their ancestors and how it has descended from then until now. 


It is still used and loved in every home of these traditional people. After the tour of the farm, you will then experience the transformation of the seeds into the wonderful chocolate the many people from around the world enjoy.


The Maquin Family will teach you furthermore about the cacao and have you partake in the making and tasting of original Mayan made chocolate.


Rio Blanco Waterfalls after enjoying the morning exploring the ancient Mayan Ruin, we will take a drive to this breath-taking place of not more than 50 minutes away to this true source of life, the Rio Blanco Waterfalls is a site to behold. And its waters are very refreshing. Enjoy a tasty lunch while enjoying the view of the waterfall as it plunges 20 ft. from a cliff as it lands in the vibrant blue and green pool.


Located in the beautiful foothills of the southern Maya Mountains of the Toledo District in Southern Belize. About an hour and half drive on the southern highway, you will have the choice of either the Nim Li Punit and/or Lubaantun Mayan ruins for your morning adventure.
